Gili Ketapang, a small island off the north coast of Probolinggo, is a paradise for divers seeking colorful marine life and peaceful beach. When I first arrived on the island, the warm sun and gentle waves greeted me. And the soft white sand and turquoise water instantly captivated me, promising an unforgettable adventure.

With snorkeling gear in hand, I was ready to explore the crystal-clear waters. As soon as I dive in, I am greeted by a wide variety of marine life. Swarms of colorful fish danced beautifully around me while intricate coral formations provided a stunning backdrop. I also spotted Nemo fish nesting on the reef and even saw a sea turtle gliding gracefully through the water.

After an exciting snorkeling activity, I continued to taste traditional cuisine at a nearby local stall. I was treated to fresh grilled fish with spicy chili sauce and warm rice. It was a very suitable and appetizing combination. After eating, I continued to explore the island and take pictures because this island also offers several photo spots for travelers. In addition, I also interacted with the locals who were very friendly. They shared stories about their traditions and way of life on this island. It added to my insight and experience, which made this trip more memorable.

For those who want to visit Gili Ketapang, you don't need to bother bringing snorkeling equipment because it is rented on this island. The best time to visit is during the dry season from April to October. This is to ensure optimal weather conditions so that you can see the calm sea with clear visibility. Although Gili Ketapang is less commercialized than the other Gilis, it actually makes its own charm for it, which offers a more authentic experience.

Gili Ketapang is not just a destination, it's an adventure waiting to be explored. From the amazing underwater scenery, to the delicious traditional food, to the friendly locals, the island promises to be an unforgettable experience for travelers. Whether you're an experienced diver or a curious beginner, Gili Ketapang invites you to explore the wonder and beauty of Indonesia's hidden treasures.
