However, there are some parts of the book that are presented more conventionally: Tim Mayers explains the importance of reading for writing; Travis Nicholson provides freewriting advice and tips for discovery; Mary Ann Cain provides revision strategies; and Garry Craig Powell explains how to provide a reading that truly entertains its audience.

The content of the book Studying Creative Writing—Successfully is about what a degree in creative writing means for the community, not a handbook for maintaining a degree or getting a job. in Donna Steiner's chapter discusses a different kind of involvement in the literary world, what Cathy Day calls "literary citizenship". This book also explains creative writing pedagogy well. Overall, this Studying Creative Writing—Successfully book is quite comprehensive because it explains the principles of writing and everything else needed to learn creative writing. So this book is really worth buying, apart from being useful, the price is also not too expensive.
